Greetings and Goodbyes...

By God's sovereignty, we made it safely to our new home in Sosua, Dominican Republic. We arrived on Tuesday and God has already been at work in and through us. We have been trying to settle in down here the best we can and with God's help, it has been an easy (for the most part) transition to life in the DR. As many of you know, God has provided us with a nice house to rent for the time we will live here and just today God answered a huge prayer of ours by providing us a car to rent while we are here. Mike, now a friend of ours is from Canada and said he liked what we are doing so gave us a big discount on the car. What a blessing!  We have been working on the schedule for the fall and have planned a few discipleship training conferences in Haiti as well!  We plan on going fishing with a Dominican Christian man that Bill (the Canadian that has started Downline here and now lives here) met this week and seeing how the locals do it, hand lines and homemade cages! It has been nice having our family (The Watkins) here to help move in but we quickly found out that everything takes twice as long and is usually never done right the first time... oh and it costs A LOT to move to a new country! But God is providing and always will.  We have met and continued friendships from the many Haitian villages here that will hopefully develop even more so as the year progresses.  Please continue to pray that the Lord breaks down language barriers and any walls that our white skin might bring!

We hope to add pictures to this blog soon and update you as much as possible.

Thank you for your support and partnership in this mission!

God Bless.
